A New Home for Culture and Community
Partnering for Purpose CIC and Osun Arts Foundation Open the Doors to Liverpool’s Newest Creative Hub
We’re delighted to share some exciting news for Partnering for Purpose CIC and our strategic partner, the Osun Arts Foundation charity. Osun Arts officially secured a fantastic 6,500 sq ft space in the centre of Liverpool and we are on a mission to transform it into a vibrant, inclusive community cultural hub with a difference!
Two Organisations, One Shared Purpose
Osun Arts Foundation has spent years increasing awareness of African arts and culture, and promoting the UK as the vibrant, multicultural society it is — through workshops, storytelling, dance, music and touring theatre that have reached schools and community groups across Liverpool, the UK and Europe.
Partnering for Purpose, meanwhile, provides practical business and strategic support to socially trading organisations — charities, CICs and social enterprises — helping them grow sustainably and work better together. We also run our own projects, many in collaboration with organisations sharing the same vision.
Bringing cultural expression and organisational support together is exactly why this space matters. It’s a home for creativity and a home for the practical, work of helping community organisations thrive.
This new chapter is built on a long-standing relationship, starting when our CEO, Kev, was managing the charity where Osun Arts had their previous small admin office. Over recent months, we have been working with Osun Arts, helping shape the strategic case for this new space, structure the office arrangements, and plan how the building can serve both organisations’ communities long into the future. Together, we are combining Osun Arts’ rich heritage in African arts, cultural expression, and creative learning with our expertise in third-sector support, social enterprise, and community empowerment.
A Space Designed for Impact
Liverpool is home to wonderfully diverse communities, yet many residents (and the many of the small incredible organisations that support them) face inequalities, social isolation, and limited access to culturally representative activities and organisational support. Our shared venue is designed to be a direct antidote to these challenges.
Once fully up and running, the aim is for this hub to host:
- Art & Photography Exhibitions: Showcasing powerful, culturally diverse narratives and celebrating local and international creative talent.
- Creative Workshops & Learning: Continuing Osun Arts’ impactful work with schools and community centres, fostering creative skill-building and artistic expression.
- Seminars & Networking: Creating pathways for local people and organisations to build confidence, gain experience, and connect through our upcoming event series.
Our flagship project: Circular Futures Collective
We believe that true community resilience goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility. Alongside our collaborative programming, we are gearing up to launch Circular Futures Collective, a circular economy project based on Doughnut Economics and Participatory Democracy. Through upcoming events, workshops, and collaborative forums, we will explore practical ways to embed sustainability, material reuse, and green practices into our local creative sector and community operations.

Turning 6,500 square feet of blank canvas into a warm, welcoming, and fully functioning community hub is no small feat – especially when it comes to furbishing such a large space! We want this environment to be comfortable and accessible for everyone who walks through our doors.
