Thank you to those who were able to pop along to the launch event and a shout out to Jan Brown from LJMU Business School, Kevin Byrne from Expect and David Connor from 2030Hub who were kind enough to say a few words – David managing to find time during the busy Liverpool #GlobalGoalsWeek he and the 2030Hub team had organised.

I was glad to see connections being made and it has given me another boost to know that this is something which is needed.

For attendees (and those of you unable to attend, if interested), if you would like to access the slide deck I was using, you should be able to view/download it from https://partneringforpurpose.org.uk/pfp25092024

As a follow-up, I asked interested parties to

  • complete a short feedback survey at https://partneringforpurpose.org.uk/feedback if you were at the event or want to make any comments about the initiative in general
  • follow @pfpcic on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter/X (although I will be reviewing Twitter/X as part of a marketing strategy and potentially moving to Threads or BlueSky)
  • sign-up for the Newsletter for Purpose at https://partneringforpurpose.org.uk/newsletter/ (if you signed up previously, please resubscribe as I have updated my email service provider)

The work starts now to start organising the next networking event but also getting “ducks in rows” for the CIC itself.

Going forward we will be looking to work with

  • STOs (especially micro and small) to help with their back office for more social resilience
  • Purpose-led SMEs (especially micro and small) with their sustainability journey for more social value
  • Trusted Partners to contribute with their experience and skills for more social impact / collaboration
  • Academic and public institutions to engage with their resources for more social participation

If you would like to continue the conversation about working together, please register your interest at https://partneringforpurpose.org.uk/register/

Regards with Purpose
Kev

Welcome to the official launch event of Partnering for Purpose CIC!

Join us in the amazing Nova Scotia at Mann Island on Wednesday 25th September between 10.00-12.00 for purpose-led networking, collaboration, and inspiration taking place during Liverpool’s Global Goals Week organised by 2030Hub.

Partnering for Purpose CIC is a new Community Interest Company aiming to empower social change by supporting micro and small socially trading organisations (STOs – charities, CICs and voluntary groups) and purpose-led SMEs around the Liverpool City Region, West Lancashire and West Cheshire, helping them to improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability, and better serve their beneficiaries, communities and clients.

Connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the community. This event is the perfect opportunity to forge new partnerships and drive change together. Plus Jane Gercken will be providing free Nespresso Professional coffee.

Going forward we will be looking to work with

  • STOs (especially micro and small) to help with their back office for more social resilience
  • Purpose-led SMEs (especially micro and small) with their sustainability journey for more social value
