This year’s campaign shines a spotlight on financial resilience, recognising the incredible efforts of small charities to keep delivering, even as costs rise and funding falls.

Small Charity Week highlights the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector, which supports millions of people and communities every day. Resilient charities create stronger communities, but many are now under more pressure than ever.
In the Liverpool City Region, small charities like Partnering for Purpose CIC play a crucial role in [insert specific impact, e.g. tackling food poverty, supporting mental health, empowering young people].
Partnering for Purpose CIC operates as a “Co-operative as a Service” (a CaaS) which not only aims to support organisations – we aim to change lives across the Liverpool City Region, West Lancashire, and West Cheshire. Our innovative approach to infrastructure support is designed to create a ripple effect of positive change, reaching deep into communities. We work to

  • Impact Beneficiaries and Service Users
  • Address Multiple Deprivation
  • Measure Our Impact
  • Invest in a Stronger Third Sector

We are proud to be part of this collective effort to recognise the power of small charities in our local communities. Small Charity Week is not only a chance to say thank you but also an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of supporting local charities through donations, fundraising, and volunteering. With many small charities facing the risk of closure, celebrating this week is more vital than ever.

Kevin Lovelady, Founder & Chief Coordinator, said,

“Let’s not mince words: we can’t ignore the “omni-crisis” which is hitting micro and small organisations hardest – the third sector is being asked to fill the gaps left by years of public service cuts, often without the tools, time, or support to do so effectively. But, there is hope – not in blind optimism, but in collective realism and the emergence of shared solutions.”

Sarah Elliott, CEO of NCVO said

“Small charities are the beating heart of our sector and the communities they serve. But many are now under extraordinary pressure. Costs are rising, income is falling, and demand for their support is soaring. This year, Small Charity Week shines a spotlight on financial resilience. It’s a moment to celebrate the impact of small charities, highlight the challenges they face, and call for the recognition, funding and policy change they urgently need.”

Throughout the week, Partnering for Purpose CIC will be inviting the community to come together in recognition and support of the incredible resilience of small charities.
